Marching Band & Color Guard

The Lincoln High School Fighting Zebra Marching Band is a field band, parade band and color guard that participates in competitions throughout the Central Valley.  Color guard enhances the visuals of the marching band with rifle, flag and ribbon techniques.

 

Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is the advanced concert band at Lincoln High school that performs quality literature meeting the advanced California State Music Concert standards.  Symphonic Band is a year round class.  This group will perform three times a year at Lincoln High School, and may have other performances including festivals and competitions throughout Northern California.

Concert Band

The Concert Band is a year round class that performs quality literature meeting the proficient California State Music Concert Standards.  This group will perform three times throughout the year at Lincoln High School, and may have other performances throughout Northern California.

Jazz Band

  Jazz band meets every school day during the spring semester from 7:00 a.m. to 7:54 a.m.  Jazz band is an in-depth study of advanced instrumental techniques as they relate to instrumental and contemporary jazz literature.  The major topics are literature of contemporary and traditional jazz and pop styles.  Other aspects of this course include participation in local concerts, regional and non-regional festivals, and community activities.  Two years playing experience required, by instructor approval.
